History

The Petit Bistro, which opened in 2005 has remained at the forefront of Guernsey’s best places to eat. The original concept of a real French Bistro (the word bistro derives from Russia, loosely meaning a quick simple meal) still remains with their early dinner menu available from 6.00pm until 7.00pm and the ‘bistro express’ offered at lunchtimes. Of course you can linger longer over the full à la carte menus. The extra ingredient comes in the guise of Le Petit Café which adds a new dimension to this exciting venue.

cafecrestSituated next door on the corner of the Lower Pollet and the Truchot, the café will be open all day serving typical French snacks and light bites along with some more substantial dishes. its imposing entrance via the double doors leads you directly into the bar and beyond to another dining area. What appears to be a large wine rack is in fact a cleverly folding door which allows access between the bistro and café ensuring privacy for private functions or a much larger seated area using both the café and the bistro.
